Zahaan Kapoor, the grandson of Shashi Kapoor, is currently enjoying the success of Vikramaditya Motwane’s Black Warrant.

As the grandkids of the renowned actor Shashi Kapoor, Zahaan is the second cousin of Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, and Ranbir Kapoor.

Zahaan recently revealed to Bollywood Hungama that his grandfather Shashi Kapoor valued his privacy so much that he deliberately chose to distance himself from the Kapoors.

Zahaan also disclosed that he rarely interacted with his well-known cousins outside of special occasions.

The Black Warrant star added that Zahaan was unaware of Ranbir Kapoor until his 2007 debut in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya. “I’ll tell you a funny story,” Zahaan said.

It makes me feel so ashamed. Prior to his debut, I knew nothing about Ranbir Kapoor. I knew a Chintu uncle, of course. However, we were really different. As a young child, I was living in my own universe. He made a big impression with Saawariya in 2007 when he was still a young adult. I was still enrolled in classes.

“It’s a unique feeling to share my work with them now,” Zahaan said in closing. I recall seeing Rockstar twice in one day.

He concluded by stating that their relationship is now lot stronger and closer than it was in the past, when he was unable to call Ranbir and confess his love for Rockstar.

January 10, 2025, saw the release of Black Warrant. Anurag Thakur, Rahul Bhat, and Paramvir Singh Cheema play important parts as well.
